Those who are riding long skateboards share their part in the blame for being so quickly run off from the culture they have just as much of a claim to as anyone. We all are skateboarders which means we are used to society rejecting us and for being looked down on for our progressive style of art. Those community members riding longer skateboards need to check our history and remind everyone that we are just building upon the foundation of our forefathers.
If you are actually out there and are still reading this, know that my opinion stems from historical stances taken by some of the legends within skating. One of the founding members of our art Tony Alva once said, "Don't ignore the other facets if you're a real skateboarder" and I challenge anyone out there to say Tony Alva has the wrong viewpoint on something he helped create.
JAH Bless and no matter how you like to do it, just go skate because we are all SKATEBOARDERS getting down to our own personal artistic interpretation.
