Some dudes just plain out rip. The hours and hours of practice they have put in have paid off in dividends concerning not only their bag of tricks, but how effortlessly they achieve such great displays of art. These shredders are few and far between but luckily, Eastern Skateboard Supply houses a whole mess of talent all under one roof and even provides a canvas for each of them to express them selves freely upon during the daily hour lunch break. David Barnes (@dbarnez) is one of those #ESSCrew who takes care of business in the skatepark as well as handling it back in the warehouse dealing with all the clothing and protective equipment offered at ESS. Everyone knows the level of skating goes up a notch when this guy is around, yet he always keeps it mellow and skates simply because he enjoys it. Dave always has a smile on his face, even if he gets hung up on a trick all day, the dude never looses his cool composure. I was fortunate enough to be on hand the other day when he decided to throw down a banger of a line and obliged me to capture it digitally on film to share another glimpse into the "Best Break Room Ever" with all of y'all. Sit back and enjoy this extra grande backside flip paired perfectly with a buttery front board performed by David Barnes.
A Big thanks goes out to Eastern Skateboard Supply, a company who is for skaters, by skaters, and constantly looking to help progress this art we all have come to adore. Another HUGE thank you goes out to every single one of you who has helped support this site along the beginning of its journey. JAH Bless Y'all and Go Skate!
This site is dedicated to skateboarding. Plain and simple. This is designed to be a forum that facilitates the true culture and lifestyle brought about by our community. With that in mind I wanted to showcase some of my homies who are as real as real can be when it comes to scooterboarding. The boys over at Eastern Skateboard Supply do not just work in skateboarding, they live skateboarding. Hours and hours of very hard work are logged by the #ESScrew but every day around noon there is a mass exodus from the expanses of the warehouse to the indoor skate park facilitated next door. This is where steam is blown off and nerves are reupholstered through the exercise in muscle memory and brain creativity only available through skating.
These sessions are not just your average roll around the park ordeal, but rather a full on spectacle of shred. Some high tier skating goes down on a daily basis, whether it be on the 9 foot deep end section of the bowl or the various hips and copings strewn through out the street course, this place gets destroyed with no mercy. This quick clip will be a teaser of what is to come in this newly created segment aimed to display high quality skating by a REAL skateboarding company composed of REAL skateboarders.
I hope you enjoy this appetizer and are hungry for more! Keep checking back to see all new material being constantly updated and remember to support your local skate community and hit up shops in your area for the latest gear you are interested in. JAH Bless and I hope you enjoy seeing our lunch break while you may be on your own.
Here is a list of the skaters in order of appearance: Robby Johns (@rabbit231), Kyle Lindley (@kwlindle), Lalo Peralta (@lperalta38), and David Barnes (@dbarnez).
I am a skater who lives in Baltimore, MD. I am looking to spread the love of skateboarding through both visual and written means.
