Yesterday was the anniversary of the passing of one of the greats in skateboarding, Lewis Marnell, a man who skated as passionately as he lived. The skate community has really banded together in the tragic wake of this event to help the Marnell family recover and move forward which shows the brotherhood and bond this art we participate in has the capability to form. Lewis was an avid part of forming and creating a scene that contained these characteristics and he would be adamant on us continuing to promote our scene in the same positive direction. I wanted to share a video to highlight the man on the board which will be a spectacle for generations to behold. Don't let a legend like this die not just due to the sheer talent that he possessed, but also how #CommunityCommitted he was. Lets move the skate scene in a direction Lewis would be proud of because you can believe that he is looking down on us right now, hoping the stoke can stride on. JAH Bless Lewis and all of y'all out there who shred for the same reason as he did, the feeling of utter joy and contentment.
I am a skater who lives in Baltimore, MD. I am looking to spread the love of skateboarding through both visual and written means.
